there was some vibration this morning. yes, part of it, we were doing the california shake-up drill with 9.3 million in the state of california, but i think there was vibrations. mayor mathews and mayor reed were jumping up and down because i told them we were putting together something that would not only be a great way to work together but something they have also been personally wishing could happen and be led by the city. so today we are of course unveiling our promotional launch but getting here has been something on my mind. it's been one of those very solid topic that jen and i spent good time together. my office, where i call it inappropriately the man cave, but it is a place where i think we have had a chance to talk about the honest going relationship that the niners, the oldest professional sports franchise in the state of california, that's still here in the state of california. it is wonderful to have this opportunity. we have other ideas we can't talk about yet because they are not matured but this came to us fast. it was an opportunity we have rarely. but to be able to be in

the past couple of days and moved through southern california finally going to kick eastward as it moves out. high pressure is coming in, in time for the weekend so we'll see a gradual warming trend over the weekend and eventually next week maybe a little mini heat wave before we get back into talking about more rain in the bay area. temperatures outside right now under mostly cloudy skies into the 50s just about everywhere. 80s in the interior valleys today. we are struggling to get to the mid-60s in livermore. 66 in san jose. 62 in san francisco and about 60 degrees in pacifica with some partly cloudy skies there. as we look toward the next couple of days we are going to warm up saturday. sunday looks nice, 80s popping in the valleys. weak system drops in on monday that may bring clouds and hold the temperatures down but after that, we could very well see those offshore winds kicking in. if that happens, maybe temperatures back into the upper 80s, maybe low 90s as we head into thursday. 60s maybe near 70 degrees out toward the coastline. >> let's check the roads with elizabeth. >> fire

and bid for super bowl 50. the last time there was a super bowl in northern california i wasn't quite 4 years old. you have super bowl in palo alto at stanford stadium that the 49ers happen to plan and happen to win. it would be nice to recreate that type of feeling where you bring the entire bay area together. not just for a game but potentially a super bowl parade on market street afterwards, that be nice? we have worked hard for a very long time to build a state-of-the-art stadium. that is not something easy to do. when you look at what this stadium will represent, will it represent the bay area, all of northern california from the sft ware driven stadium that the smart stadium we will where you will have ticket lists, cash lists, great food options that are local organic options. you will have great infrastructure, you will have all the things that make a super bowl an unbelievable experience. i'm happy to see a football team bring a region together for the largest day in sports. more people for one single event will be watching this than just about anything in the world. i'm happy

on to an airplane isn't going anywhere for a while. just hours ago a judge in southern california ordered the suspect held without bail. this comes after investigators found all sorts of weapons and supplies in his checked luggage last week. look at this. they say he was carrying a smoke grenade, knives, hatchet, three billie clubs, gas mask and biohazard suit. >> he also had collapsible baton, handcuffs and body bags. when they caught him at los angeles international airport he was wearing a bullet-proof vest and flame resistant pants. greg jared is in our newsroom tonight in new york city. i guess this is self-explanatory for the reason that the judge ordered no bail. >> you are exactly right. the feds argued this guy is a danger to the public. they apparently found evidence in the computer of harris that he could be prone to committing acts of violence against kids. well, that was enough for the judge to keep him locked up. harris' bag was packed with that frightening arsenal but only the smoke grenade is actually banned on aircraft. the knives and hatchets and all the other stuff does

. then coming here the president has come to california as kind of his atm. he does a lot of fund-raisers here from the hollywood set and others and has been able to pull in a lot of cash. that's primary focus of the president's trip. as you pointed out he's having the big concert with big names, earth, wind and fire, katy perry and george clooney is expected to deliver remarks as well. in addition to that, the president will also be meeting with what the campaign is calling some high-dollar donors. these are people who have been consistently raising big amounts of money for the president. about a dozen of them, the president will be meeting privately with them. then later tonight we'll also be having a fund-raising dinner with, again, high rollers, high donors, if you will. people who are putting up $40,000 each for the dinner. so the president expected to pull in about $9.5 million, not only in fund-raisers here in los angeles but also tomorrow up in northern california. >> $40,000 dinner, dinner is expensive out in hollywood. >> reporter: that's right. >> fund-raising, the president, presid
